4 killed Separate attacks in Somali capital in 24 hours


Armed men with pistols have killed Mogadishu’s Wadajir district secretary in Mogadishu on Saturday.

Banadir regional municipality spokesman Abdifatah Omar Hallane, confirmed reporters that the gunmen shot and killed Wadajir neighborhood secretary and also wounded on other Somali government official.

The secretary identified as Abdirahman Sheikh Ahmed Alasow as other official were rushed to Madina hospital for treatment.

Security officials from national intelligence and security agency and the police reached  the crime scene as investigation is under way according to hallane.

Wadajir district commissioner Abdulle Afrah also confirmed the incident to local media as saying gunmen escaped after the incident.

No group has yet claimed responsibility, but longtime assassination campaign against government official of al-Shabaab has carried out recent attacks in Somali capital Mogadishu.

This association came one day after two car bomb blasts took place different places in Somali capital Mogadishu.

First car bomb hit Mogadishu’s Sai-piano neighborhood as the second car bomb blast were targeted a busy Banooda restaurant which located near Somali presidential palace killing at least 2 people and wounded five others.

Last week at least seven people were killed and more than 10 people were also wounded in a suicide car bomb attack which were targeted Somali army checkpoint in the same area– in attack for which al-Shabaab claimed responsibility.
