Farmajo wins Somalis presidential election

Over 328 Somali lawmakers have elected Wednesday Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo as Somalis 9 president after five hours voting in Somalia capital Mogadishu.

Farmajo won in the second round of voting with 184 votes. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the second place candidates  received 97 votes.
The election took place heavily protected former Somalis air force base  near Adan Adde airport.

“I am very happy to become Somali president which I have been dreaming all my life. Thank you those who voted me and also those who didn’t vote me”Farmajo said after swearing in.
“This is the beginning of new Somalia”he added
